From a digital marketing point of view, content marketing includes promoting a business through different forms of media such as social media, youtube adverts, podcasts, and of course, written content. But, cannabis content marketing is a little more different. 

For those of you who have been in the marijuana, cbd, or hemp niche, you would have probably realized by now that it can be challenging marketing your business through traditional means. For example, cannabis businesses must be wary of what they put out and promote to the public. Content, be it blog posts, product descriptions, or Facebook advertisements, cannot make medical claims, nor can they encourage the use of a product to the general public.

  3. Unintentional false information:  The world of marijuana can get complicated pretty fast. I’ve met many clients who choose to hire marijuana users to create their content. True! Marijuana users do have that hand’s on-experience, but often that’s as far as it goes. Often, many clients reach out to me as they find that their content creators create posts, website pages, and product descriptions containing false information. This is unintentional, of course, and it’s often due to a combination of factors like poor research or failure to understand the topic.
